Sickies

We had a busy week last week with lots of playdates--until Evie got a cold! :-( She started getting a runny nose on Thursday afternoon and it just went downhill from there. I call this the Grumpy Cold because she has been a total grouch. I am just glad that it was the weekend so I had help taking care of the whiner. Evie would get upset about something arbitrary and then couldn't stop herself from being upset until we intervened. She normally has good control over her emotions. Unfortunately, Jesse and I both started getting sick on Saturday! Jesse went to work today, but the rest of us sickies are at home. She probably got whatever she has at her doctor's appointment last week.

On Saturday we were outside for a little while, and Evie decided it would be fun to hit the ground running. She fell smack on her face on the driveway! She has this huge scratch on her forehead. It's healing nicely, but it's her first real boo boo.

Evie's new favorite word is "clock." She points at all of our clocks (we have clocks everywhere), and exclaims "CLOCK! Oooooh!" Another cute thing is when she wants us to sit with her, she will walk over to the destination, pat the ground, and say "Bah!" Or she will come grab your finger and pull you with her.

She's also started putting her hands over her ears when she hears something interesting. "Wassssat?" She's asking you to tell her what the sound is. Oftentimes it's the heater coming on or a song playing in the background. It's wonderful watching the ways she attempts to communicate.

I am 27 weeks pregnant and 28 weeks on Wednesday!

Evie started to mimic me when I took a timer shot of myself. She even has her hand on her stomach! Haha! You can click on the picture to see a bigger shot of her.
